Looks like a Yorkie to me. This argument always comes up when they are a little bigger. I once had a woman stop me in Petsmart with Barkley her 5 lber that she was so proud to tell me was from Petland
. I told her how cute he was and she told me that Pebbles was a Silkie and didn't meet Standard.

That was almost 3 years ago and Pebbles was a little puppy. She is AKC registered and a rehome from my friend. I was not quite as well informed as I am now otherwise I would have really set her straight.

Knowing more background that you have shared and the situation that she came from I highly bout that she is a Silkie based on that alone.
