Here in CA, a managment co. can change the terms of the lease at anytime and the new terms apply to you.. They of course have to put that in the lease when you sign it though. If There is nothing in the lease about the management or owners of the property being able to change anything at will, they can't do it. But owners do have to make exceptions for service animals, especially if the person who is living in the home becomes disabled or ends up needing the animal AFTER they move in or they have to let the leasee out of their lease. So it seems to me that the family has many options and will end up getting that dog.. My fingers are crossed for them.. |
