Are you sure vinegar would kill giardia? Chlorine bleach is said to be the most effective, ammonia can be used, but it has to remain on the surface 20 minutes at a rather high concentration. There are also other commercial disinfectants you buy, but they have to say that they are effective for giardia. I have not read anything that says vinegar is effective at killing the giardia parasite, and while I love using it for general cleaning, I don't think I would recommend this unless you are absolutely sure it works. Do you have any links that say it's effective? I mean we can drink straight vinegar, I know it's safe, but I don't think it's a disinfectant.
