I think that all that was intended was for a mistatement, or possibly an assumption, that was made to be corrected by people actually invovled in rescue.
(Which it should have been.) So a mistruth was corrected, so what? I don't think that is something that is really all that big a deal and certainly does not seem like something that is a "personal issue" any member(s) have taken with another. (That's just a bit far fetched, if you ask me!)
One thing seems pretty obvious though...I think that everyone is in agreement that the male in question in the OP's post is not a good candidate to be used as a stud.
