I didn't realize you had been involved with rescue....but I sure would like to know where you get your information from. Size has never been an issue with the rescue I was involved with...dog was never house trained, young people adopted and then had children - so no time for the dog, dog doesn't like kids and bites, dog got old, dog costs to much $$$ and the list could go on....all of my Yorkies are rescue with Bella only weighing 3#'s and the next one is 4#'s, Sassy is 5#'s, and two at 6#'s.
There is a thread on YT where everyone that has a rescue talks about their dogs and they are not ALL large...so unless you have facts please don't
assume all rescue Yorkies are given up because they are large...
