Hi Everyone!
I have a quick question about caring for our new bundle of joy. We picked up Abbey on 10/4/09 and have been to the Vets office 3 times as of today 10/19/09. The first trip was a 6 days after we got her home (10/10/09) for Hypoglycemia caused by giardia and us not watching her food intake close enough. Yesterday 10/12/09 was the follow-up and when i picked her up from home to go to the vet she was shivering and panting, the vet said that was normal. Today 10/13/09 after another night of little sleep (she sleeping maybe 4 to 6 hours a day), I took her to our reg vet and he found she also had coccidiosis. He thinks the shiveres and panting are caused by us giving her to many calories with the A/D food and Nutri-cal so we are backing off this food slowly. Please let me know what to do, She is so sweet and lovable but is really impacting us with no sleep and ever waking hour trying to make sure she eats and is OK. Help!
