Beau is our 10-year old, 8 lb Yorkie ~ an elderly gentleman and just the sweetest, most gentle soul! He loves to be held close and snuggled, and will flip over for belly rubs any chance he gets. Most of Beau’s time is spent lounging on the couch, or spending time outside enjoying the sunshine; but every once in a while, he gets a notion to play and a sudden surge of energy will send him flying around the room. Beau really enjoys the company of other dogs, but would be just as happy as the only recipient of his owner’s affection. He gets along fine with the kitties too. In fact, Beau seems to get along with everyone and makes great friends wherever he goes. He also really enjoys going on walks and especially relishes the attention he gets from people when he is out and about. We are not sure if Beau is hard of hearing or if his ears are just selective in what sounds he picks up. He will linger a little too long in the yard when his foster mom calls him into the house, and yet he seems to hear a bag of treats opening from a mile away! He appears to be housetrained and has never had an accident in his foster home. Such a wonderful boy!!
History: Beau found himself in one of our Washington shelters and PUP was asked to find him a great home..
Health: Beau is neutered, microchipped and has had his dental. He is current on Rabies, DHPP, and bordetella. He has also been wormed and flea-treated. Beau does have a dry eye condition, and requires eye medication daily, which he has no problem with. His foster mom sets aside 15 minutes a day to apply Beau’s medicine, wash his face and lightly brush his beautiful, soft coat. It’s a routine Beau enjoys immensely.
