Ella is 99% potty trained and I contribute it to the fact that as sooooooooon as I got her I put her in the grass, without even going inside first and I set out there with her until she pottied. Then I gave her a treat and lots of love and we went in. They say first impression does the trick!!!!
Also, if its possible, (which it was with me because I got Ella in the summer when I dont have work/school) be with him/her every second of every minute of everyday. Catch them in every single accident so they NEVER have time to finish and say "NO" very loudly (dont yell like you're angry..... just loud and firm) and rush him/her outside and say potty.
Of course, this isn't always possible. But whatever you do, be consistent. Congrats on the new puppy!!!!!!!!!!!
