He said just treat it with adams flea and tick shampoo once a week for three weeks and keep him isolated from our other dogs. My mom is freaking out about it and I think she is returning the puppy this afternoon to the breeder. I wanted her to keep him. This is treatable right? Am I telling her the correct advice to hang in there, treat him, and all will be OK? The word mange does sound scary! Yuk! Any advice on this subject GREATLY appreciated.

Yes it is treatable. I'm not sure exactly what the treatment is. But, I do know it is completely treatable.

Is she getting a replacement yorkie? I would think long and hard about it before I returned him. If it were something that was going to require lots of medical treatment it would be different. But, it's just my opinion.

Hopefully she will change her mind.

Please keep us posted.
