I was having the same problem with Teddy a while back on of his ears just would not stand up! I never tried taping but I did read on here to massage the ears and that actually did the trick!!! His ear has been up since! Well except when he had a scab on his ear and I guess that weighed it down but after that went away it went right back up!!
