A new Yorkie boy is joining our little family within a few weeks. He will be nearly four months old. Mr. Darcy and I met the little fellow at his home today. He is livelyBlessings to the breeder, desiring to socalize her litter and get to know their personalities prior to offering the puppies. Her knowledge and Mr. Darcy's reactions helped me determine which to choose.
I left several puppy blankets there so as to bring scent from old home to new. Mr. Darcy will go along for visits before pup comes home.
I would appreciate advice from those of you who introduced #2 after #1 had established his title as owner of the castle. Mr. Darcy is going on 14 months and I've had him almost one year. He's sweet, loving and used to being my main focus. I expect some jealousy and competition will happen, and that supervised play is necessary at first. My office is at home and I'll plan on spending a number of days helping the boys adjust when baby arrives. Advice and suggestions from my Y.T. friends to ease the transition from 1 to 2 would be very much appreciated.
