I think Ginger is taking advantage of your friendship, I'm glad that you are thinking about this, and your little girl should be your first consideration. What if your baby needs an emergency cesarean, and what if the puppies all die, you think she would reimburse you? I can tell you that people can be very unpredictable when it comes to money, and what they think is fair. If Ginger is a true friend she will try and understand why you don't want to take this chance. I've never had a little girl, but I think once they spay them they take out the uterus and ovaries and that means no more periods, so this would mean no more heat, and no chance of uterine or ovarian cancer in the future.
