Joan, she's actually a year old, hence the clear gold. The widget was born last Oct with a PDA and needed to stay with me until she was big enough to do the less invasive laparoscopic repair and then recover and then be spayed. Trying to get 4lbs to stick on a girl who didn't know she was supposed to be 'unwell' and moved at the speed of light was a job and a half.
I have to give credit to my great vets who found the problem (I would never had known, she never had a symptom) and also to Dr. Sleeper at UPenn who did the fabulous repair job.
Excellent breeder, lucky dog and lucky owner. Yes, I'm waiting too but I have to get
to the grocery store.
