I have one really similar to the first one and I like it because I have a two-door car so it would be difficult to be getting the pup in the back all the time, and I also have full side airbags so putting them in the back doesn't really protect them from the side airbags. So with the one I have, since the weight is suspended from the top of the seat, it doesn't turn on the front airbag, so I feel like furbabe is a little safer there and I can keep an eye on her little Houdini attempts to get closer to the window
