So anyway I was reading that it is a bad thing if your Yorkie has white hair. Our Yorkie's mama was mostly white and reddish tan. So can someone please help me understand if this is a bad thing and why? |
I'm a small breeder and have researched the Yorkshire Terrier History before I got involved in breeding.
Even though the gal told you their purebreeds, I would say not.
No papers no purebred. I also can be wrong on this.
As for the white & Reddish tan. That's where you get the variety of Dogs.
Show, Pet & Breeding.
There are times white comes out, that is because there is Maltese in the genes. Normally you see a spot here and there, like on the feet or chest.
All over though, I'm just guessing strong Maltese genes. Then again with no papers it could be anything.
With papers, most of the time you can check the lineage.
I'm sure your dog is a sweetie no matter what it is.
