Thanks you two! I think these are awesome tips. I have tried shortening the lead, however, I was doing it while walking the two of them. That failed because I was trying to teach them at the same time and both dogs would just go crazy. People were staring at me! So embarrassing.

I never thought to teach them individually. I will work on that right now!
