I did not see the movie but I did read the book and bawled my eyes out
But I have to say that it was tears for my lab Abby that brought back so many memories. I loved her so much and she was just a wonderful part of my life for many years. We didn't have a dog for many years after her because I missed her so much and didn't want to open myself up to the hurt of losing another beloved pet. But look at me now!
