Well, I'm not comfortable with permethrin, but many people are.
It comes down to what works for your dog and use the least amount possible.
I don't like Revolution either, so I'm picky I guess.
Frontline Plus is fine (doesn't mean it can't be toxic over time), but some of the other products may control ticks better. It's worth a try though.
