*pout* Now I sit and wait for months!!!!!!!!!!!
Our Derby has very fine, thin hair and it's kind of matted. I think he'll grow out of that though because it's only around his feet that do it? and other than that I can't TELL because it's shaved and hasn't really grown back yet!!!!!! |
Just reassure yourself about this shave by thinking of how easy and interesting it will be to watch all of those brand new growing hairs popping out on your Yorkie in different colors. I am constantly picking through Daisy's hair to see if anything new is sprouting under there. I try to disguise it as petting, but I think she knows what I am up to!
It's almost like waiting 9 months to see what your human baby is going to look like!
I chose Daisy because she reminded my of my dearly departed Yorkie, Zeus, who was very black and never turned; as a result he always looked like a puppy through his entire life. From seeing her parents, however, I believe that she stands a good chance of going 'gray' .....so I have become quite obsessed with this issue. But then again, I am obsessed with her little round tummy, the 'parti-gene carrier' white on her chin and chest, those big brown eyes, etc.!
