Honestly, I'm not trying to be rude, but breeding your female simply so your daughter can have a puppy is very irresponsible. MANY risks go along with breeding a female and have risks of dying while giving birth. Puppies can also die, so be prepared for that. I would just let her be a pet and get her spayed.

Millions of animals are euthanized every day, why add to the overpopulation of dogs? Many, many things go into breeding. Leave it to the professionals who know what they are doing! I understand everyone has to start "somewhere" when becoming a breeder, but you're saying you only want to breed her once? Please just look into the responsibility that goes along with breeding your dog and understand you may no longer have simply a pet anymore. Female dogs have a tendancy to change after giving birth and will no longer be your little girl. Is giving your daughter a puppy worth possibly losing your pets life? When she can just go to a respectable breeder and get a puppy or go to a shelter and rescue one?
