Hi!! Well I was concerned before I got another dog just like you. I have had Kayne for 2 years and this past April purchased another yorkie to keep him company. He has had friends spend the night and things before I got Able. I think the hardest thing for me was grooming costs, training one dog while having a do that knows what to do, and Kayne's jealousy.
I think that it is good for a dog to have a companion if it is feasible for the owner. Kayne has gotten better with Able being around, but still likes his one on one time. I think Able appreciates Kayne being around the most though. I would say that it will be an adjustment for you both, but in the end it will work out!
