My Harley who is eight now was a horrible carpet chewer when he was little. He ripped the fibers out where the wall to wall joins the tile floor with a metal strip over it. Anyway, I fixed him good, and this has worked for my others as well. I got one of those Holloween figures that is motion sensored. Everytime he went near this area, the spooky figure would start making noises. It scared the bee jesus out of him and he gave up on carpet chewing. It's holloween now so you can get a few, if you have more than one chew area. Christmas figures work too. If they move, and make noise, even better!
