Personally, I groom mine myself. It has been a work in progress but when I started out I did the bathing myself and took my baby to Petsmart in Knoxville on a walk in basis and had the nails cut, behinds & ears trimmed.

I felt that no one would be as gentle as Mama and that is less exposure to whatever is out there. I do not vaccinate for kennel cough. Grooming can be a traumatic experience for some dogs and personally I don't think it should be an all day deal or even 1/2 day. On the rare occasion that I had it done I thought they made my Yorkie look ugly!!!

If you are interested in learning to do it yourself I come to Knoxville often or you could come by my place and I will show your and / or help you or do it for you.

Everyone has their own preferences. You may just want to be able to drop your Yorkie off and pick it back up. Private Message me if you want to take me up on it.
