The only difference I have found with my males is when a female is in actual Season. The testestorne is high and they do tend to go off food and become a bit more testie with eachother. The are still sweet and loving.
What I do suggest is that you have all the required tests performed on your male prior to your breeding. Become familiar with your responsibilities as the owner of the stud and they are many. You have to be as familiar with the breeding and whelping process as the female's owner.
