Hello everybody, I've looked around and this seems like the best place to get some information
. Tuesday I adopted a Yorkie female from one of my son's friends mom.(She brought two home from a lady at work who's daughter passed away) She is a very loving dog already, and has taken to myself and my son, but seems terrified of any men who come into the house. The possibly bigger problem is that her( my son's friends mom) mini poodle locked with her on Saturday. From what I've read, she only would have allowed that if she was in heat, and if so there is a very good chance she's pregnant, right?
Her coat was pretty mangled, so I took her into a groomer, and he said she looked older than 4 yrs old ( which is the age I was told). She also seems to have some teeth issues( really bad breath and tartar), and is missing the bottom front two.
I am currently looking for a great vet in my area, but I guess I don't really know which issue is the most important, and what questions I should be asking. Any referrals or helpful information would be greatly appreciated.
