she did say royal canins a good food but very high in calories but most dog foods are.. whildness might be ok thats what they recommend but

Oh I'm so glad that you got your question answered. My guess is if you feed him the recommended amount that is on the package, he won't even finish every meal.
My dogs, somedays they eat every crumb, and other days there is some left at the end of the day.
