My heart goes out to you. I know it must have hurt you and Harley removing those awful things. It sounds like our husbands could be related somehow. We live on a farm and have horses, my husband will take Bella out to the barn with dirt floor and let her roll around, and he's so waiting for her to sneak a good roll in a pile of horse poo. Our cattle dog, Cheyenne is old and somewhat cranky, and they will growl and snap at each other, I get in the middle and he tells me not too, so if Bella gets hurt she will learn. Example Tues night we are sitting on the couch eating supper and Bella started to growling and snapping at Cheyenne. Bella 6 lbs, Cheyenne 55 lbs. well first time ever Cheyenne got both front feet on the couch right beside me and started after Bella snapping all the way, Bella didn't back down, I have plate in one hand trying to grab Bella with the other hand behind my back and in a split second Cheyenne grabbed my arm. She has never done that before. It hurt so bad, well I ended up shedding a few tears. Finally my DH got up to pull Cheyenne back. I wasn't about to move and I left my elbow in her mouth, I knew it would be safer for Bella. After it was all said and done, she did break the skin and my husband told me not to get in the middle of a dog fight again. I told him as hard as Cheyenne was biting me and shaking my arm she would done some major damage. I love them both and will protect them both. Over all I don't understand our husbands way of thinking. But they might not understand ours either. LOL |
