I graduated in August and just started working full time again today. Since I was in graduate school I had lots of gaps of free time, though I needed to use most of it for school work. So I'd spend my time doing my school work at home as most as I could, then of course I could spend more time than not with Zoe. As a baby there was always someone there, she was never alone for more than an hour or two. It was difficult, trying to keep an eye on her, give her the attention she needed, and get my work done. But it's possible, you just have to be clear with your time management/scheduling.
Now that's she's older (she's 16 months old) she's not happy but fine to be alone for 5-6 hours. I hate doing it, but I also know she'll spend the entire day sleeping...
