 Staph Infection
Our Caesar has the staph infection. Felt scabs in his hair and finally saw a couple of lesions on his tummy. The vet knew what it was immediately and put him on antibiotics and antibacterial shampoo. That was in August. It cleared up within a week, but our vet assured us that it would return and it has. He is again on the antibiotics and we are using the prescription shampoo. Within a week the one red pimple and the other "lesion" have disappeared. The doctor says that he is not contagious to any other animals or to humans. It is an autoimmune problem and we will simply have to deal with it. What you are describing sounds like what Caesar has so I too suggest that you see your vet ASAP. Good Luck |
