How do you know they "need" surgery?
Max's regular vet said he has stage 2. She did not do any x-rays or recommend any supplements. Just said he needs surgery.

Morgan has not had surgery yet because she doesn't skip or limp or favor either leg. i had her evaluated by the surgeons a couple times. they both said she'll need it but since she's not showing signs to leave her be. She is on Cosequin for her joints as a supplement. Your regular vet can take x-rays but honestly a lot of the time they don't do it the way the surgeon needs so they just have to be retaken. so i say why bother taking them at the regular vet. if you are considering surgery take him to an orthopedic surgeon to have him evaluated and have x-rays taken there.
