i agree; 8000 doesnt sound right; take him to another vet; they can give you antibiotic or flagyl, and antiemetic to stop the vomiting; if he needs to stay one night for iv fluids; but that shoudnt even come close to 8000; maybe 1000 the max if he stays overnight; you can read up on the treatments
