Seams weird that over in Irland they're putting up the fees when they stopped them over in England years ago as it prover un-enforcable. Organisations are still pushing to get micro-chipping made the law, but some people have been cutting them out of dogs to prevent them being traced when dumped or stolen. Dogs used to have to be liscenced by the age of 6 months which is why you'd get a glut of 6 month old pups arriving in rescue years ago. Law abiding people will always comply with the law others will just egnore it. With so many people struggling to make ends meet at the moment I cant help but wonder how many more dogs will end up abandoned because of the price hike.
