i retire mine at five . i also only breed twice and skip one and considering how old they are when they have the first litter, that is not too much . But once, I had an oops when I was gone and hubby was supposed to be watching them so that girl had three litters straight. And if I hae a C-section for ANY reason, that girl is done. She is spayed and no more babies for her.
