Yes the scaled bothers me too. The table is sanitized, then they want you to just put them on the scale. Gross. We had the vet show us the slide too. Eva did have Cocidia she was very sick though. Usually they have really fizzy poo. This same vet though didn't test further and Eva had Giardia too(went for a second opinion). It was weeks and weeks before she was in the clear.
I would say if the stools are soft take the meds. If they are firm, reconsider if you are worried.
