That is a common sign of luxating patella. it is common in little dogs and many people on YT have dogs with LP. Morgan has LP in both her knees. Any "hitch in their giddy-up" should be evaluated. it means their knee cap is popping out of place and that little skip is them popping it back into place. it does hurt but the degree of pain varies per dog and situation. Morgan has grade 2/3, both her knee caps will pop out regularly. she however does not skip or kick out her knee. she has a funny walk that only i notice because i know what i'm looking for. I worked for two veterinary orthopedic surgeons.
