Does this mean she is now in "heat?" We take her for a walk every evening, so does this mean we can't until she is not in heat anymore, i know male dogs will be attracted to her "smell." How long does this last?

We tried to get her fixed, but she may have a Liver Shunt so the vet will not put her under anesthesia. But i will NOT allow her to have puppies even though family members are bugging me to let her have one litter.

Thanks
Yes, she's experiencing her first Season and no you shouldn't take her on walks. Do not allow her anywhere where a male dog can get a hold of her.

If there is a remote possibility that she has LS, why is your family bugging you to have a litter? It would be totally irresponsible. Anyway she's much too young.

Has your vet performed a bile acid test on her, to validate LS?
