Does this mean she is now in "heat?" We take her for a walk every evening, so does this mean we can't until she is not in heat anymore, i know male dogs will be attracted to her "smell." How long does this last? We tried to get her fixed, but she may have a Liver Shunt so the vet will not put her under anesthesia. But i will NOT allow her to have puppies even though family members are bugging me to let her have one litter. Thanks |
Yes, she's experiencing her first Season and no you shouldn't take her on walks. Do not allow her anywhere where a male dog can get a hold of her.
If there is a remote possibility that she has LS, why is your family bugging you to have a litter? It would be totally irresponsible. Anyway she's much too young.
Has your vet performed a bile acid test on her, to validate LS?
