how do you know she didn't have a loving life? She had heat, air and a play yard. Not too many jacks are inside dogs. i applaud this breeder for the way she is trying to see that her girl has the best home available. I don't expect non breeders to understand tho. you will never understand how heartbreaking it is for most of us to have to place our older retired dogs. We would be in court for hoarding animals if we kept them all. When i place baby puppies, I am glad to see them go but when I place my older ones (only three so far,) it breaks my heart and I cry for days on end. Those of you that have tried to purchase my retired dogs know how I go back and forth and usually end up canceling the sale. i have found out by following those I placed locally, that the dogs recover faster than we do. i don't even know why this thread was started unless it was just to start trouble on the board.. yes, it is sad. it is always sad but saying nasty things about the breeder in this case is uncalled for.
