That is what I heard, too. There is no such thing as a hypoallergenic dog. My husband has asthma and allergies, but so far so good. His allergist recommended a Yorkie and that's how we ended up with Sydney. My husband is on Singulair, Clariton, and Advair. I wash Sydney once a week in allergy shampoo, rinse her twice a week, and use Allerpet on her in between. I also have doggie wipes for after she goes potty. I bought a new vacuum with a pet hair attachment (Shark Navigator) and I spray allergy reducers on the floors. I think this is the cleanest my house has been since we got Sydney a month and a half ago.

I am very sorry for your loss. I can't even imagine how painful it is. On top of it, your husband's grandfather died. Again, I am so, so sorry.
