We went thru lp surgery. While it was not fun, I would say that I am glad we did it because Hot Rod is doing very well. He's still recovering after 7 mos but he's doing great. It would really depend on the severity of the lp. There are other treatments such as supplements or therapy. I would seek a second opinion. Then I would recommend speaking with an ortho vet-one who has much experience with lp surgeries. Then I would try and decide on the next course of treatment. How old is your baby? Hot Rod was 1 1/2 years old when he had surgery. |
