Default treatment for pneumonia

Unfortunately we have dealt with this a lot and currently have a 3lb toothless senior with pneumonia. What is lifesaving, at least for us, is the nebulizer. It keeps the bacteria/virus from sticking to the lining of the lungs, once it does that it's often too difficult for the antibiotics to work. My drugs of choice are injectible Baytril with injectible B-12--that's what our vet gives them along with the nebulizer treatments. We have gotten a LOT of dogs through it--good luck w/your baby!
