Thank you for reaffirming what I was already thinking. The neighbors told us that they were going to put up a privacy fence as soon as their old house sells and they can afford to do it. We will have to continue to keep them separated until they do.

I think I will sit outside with long leashes on them so when the pits come out they will hopefully learn not to run to the fence for now.
