No, you don't sprinkle this on their poop, some people have suggested sprinkling "hot sauce" while others say, their dogs really loved the hot sauce.

If you actually see poop, instead of sprinkling anything on it, the best thing to do is remove the poop, sometimes puppy will eat it out of boredom. Also, many people recommend free feeding a puppy, so that it doesn't get overly hungry. There are also interactive toys that you can put bits of food in, and the puppy can gradually get food out, keeping it interested for longer periods. Here's some more information on poop eating:
