Oh, okay. Thanks. Perhaps it's different for Aussies since they are a little big bigger. They weighed between 5 and 7 oz. at 2 days old and he recommended doing the tails at 48-72 hours. I've learned a lot here in regards to little details with our Aussies but I always have to keep in mind that the size difference could lead to a little bit different procedures.
To the OP... sorry, don't know what to tell you about the odd nipple. Hope your vet can give you answers. Stormie (our Aussie) actually had what looked like a little extra nub (almost like a skin tag) off to the side of a nipple and when the pups were born they kept trying to latch on to that little nub. They learned soon enough though that it wasn't going to give them anything.
