Animal Smiley 019 Laxating Patella Surgery, personal experience wanted!

My little rescue Yorkie Addison has laxating patellas in his rear legs. He doesnt complain or act as if he even notices, its me that has a problem with it. I'm leaning towards getting him surgery if water and physical therapy dont work. My main concerns are his age, he is very young... will be 2 in March and the fact he's only 3 lbs. I'm very confident the surgery will be successful, my uncle is his vet so I know he is great hands. I do still want to hear personal experiences with the surgery whether the outcomes good or bad. My goal is to get this taken care of before damage is done and pain starts to accompany his every move.

Thanks!
