We have one. She was listed as a Yorkie, but she might be a Chorkie or another mix with a Yorkie. When they found her she was wandering around with foxtails stuck in her mouth and fur. She had to get one dug out and it was all infected. 1.5 years, never spayed or anything.
They cleaned her up, gave her shots and fixed her. Then I saw her and fell in love and that was it. They don't know how long she was running around by herself. She loves people but is very cautious and really doesn't like other animals at all. She was really angry at a certain family picking up another dog so I think she might have been abused or something by a similar looking family. I will have to introduce her to people slowly as she gets used to them.
She is an angel. Loves to fetch and play tug-o-war. She doesn't like the food I bought at the humane society or maybe she's just so small that she doesn't eat a lot at once. House training has been a challenge, but that will happen in time. I don't know if my carpet will survive.
It cost me almost as much as it would have to get a purebred, but I don't care. She's happy, fixed, healthy, and extremely loving.
