I usually agree with everything the YT crew says....

but in this case, you have to remember they are TERRIERS.

its sort of like dealing with a grumpy teenager. My parents 50th anniversary I had to go away for the weekend, when I came back Fergus was pouting and after his initial jumping on my legs when I walked in the door (he stayed with my skinkids-all teens), he patentntly ignored me.

So.....

I ignored him back. No begging, no bribes. I just did my usual routine, sat in my chair in the evening (where he always sits with me) and when he sat on a pillow on the couch, I never said a word to him. He wanted me to beg....so he could say NO! So, I refused to acknowledge his behavior and within 24 hours he was right back in my face! all little tongues and cuddles.

But, it was on his terms (in his mind-he never "gave in" to my pleading) and on MY terms (in my mind-I didn't beg) so we both "won" in the end and got to keep our pride.

Try it....what have you got to lose? I am not saying be mean, just don't beg! be normal!
