I use Canidae Chicken & Rice All Life Stages -- it has no fish meal. They have several different formulas -- not all include the fish meal, and some have no grain. I tried samples of several of the top quality brands and Canidae was one all of my dogs would eat well. Since I have 4 -- finding one they all agreed with was no small feat. We are very happy with it. I get lots of compliments about my dogs' coats and they are as healthy as can be. So, for us Canidae is working great.
The reports of sickness, I believe, came about when Canidae had a forumulation change. Mine did not have any reaction to the change at all. But others reported their dogs got sick or would not eat the new recipe. |
