I have to agree with JeanieK on this one. If you have to ask these types of questions, then you are not prepared to breed.

Giving your male open access to your female as you have described is a VERY bad idea. A breeding pair should be supervised at all times when they are attempting to tie and should not be allowed to do so more than once each day.

I would suggest you continue researching, maybe find a breeding mentor to work with FIRST.
