Default Little Man having trouble with back legs

Our 5 year old yorkie is having trouble with his back legs. We noticed a month or so ago that he is having trouble with instability. He can be walking along and he will fall over. It's more dominate on the left than right. Even when we had him to the groomer she noticed that he was having trouble since his last grooming session. He's unable to jump up on anything, not able to use stairs very well, has a wide stance with his back legs. Can't stand very well on the back legs to look out the window, and when it comes to our hard woods floors forget that he can't even walk on them. He seems to be almost able to do the splits with them. Not in any pain. Took him to our vet and they wouldn't even mess with him. Said it was either a pinched nerve or a disc out in his back. The referred us on to an emergency vet. They too do not know what is going on other than it's neurological. They did a myelogram, CT, spinal tap, and nothing. He spent 5 days with them, and then he came home and has to be kenneled at all times except for when he goes out and then we have to carry him in and out. They didn't give him any meds, said they didn't want to mask anything with them. Not really sure what we should do. We are to call them in a couple of weeks and let them know how he is doing. Has anyone else had this problem with their Yorkie. He's been such a trooper through all of this.
