I used my own hair glue. It works well! You can buy colored hair glue too. He can lick the top of his head so I really didn't see a problem with using it. If I am wrong, please let me know.
As a teen my friends and I would use Elmer's glue in our hair. Of course you have to use a hairdryer to get it to harden but it worked :-).
